About Car Dealership Guy
Car Dealership Guy (CDG) is the leading platform in automotive retail — where dealers learn, grow and connect. Our mission is simple: help dealers thrive in a changing industry. We’re building an industry where smarter, stronger, and better-connected dealers deliver faster, more transparent, and more valuable experiences for consumers — a win-win that moves the business forward.
With over 500 signups in 48 hours, CDG Dealer Chat Groups have proven that dealers are craving community. We’re building the next evolution of that vision.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial operator to build and lead CDG Dealer Chat Groups from the ground up. Think of this as a startup within CDG — backed by massive traction, infrastructure, and brand trust.
The ideal candidate has sat in the GM chair and operated across every department — variable, fixed ops, accounting, even reinsurance — and then moved into tech, product, or consulting. Someone who understands exactly how each department drives the bottom line, and has since helped build or advise tools solving real dealership pain points. In short: an operator turned innovator. Grounded in store-level execution, but forward-looking enough to build what’s next.
This person is a player-coach — capable of moderating high-signal conversations, designing scalable engagement systems, and eventually leading a team of moderators and hosts. This role sits at the intersection of community, strategy, and execution, shaping how thousands of dealers connect and learn.
This is a rare opportunity to redefine how automotive professionals share intel and grow together.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the foundation: Develop the structure, rules, and best practices for all CDG Dealer Chat cohorts (Dealer Principals, GMs, COOs, F&I, etc.)
- Moderate and lead: Personally manage early groups to ensure productive, high-value conversations
- Measure and optimize: Track KPIs like engagement, retention, and conversation depth to drive continuous improvement
- Scale operations: Recruit, train, and lead moderators as new cohorts and regions come online
- Monetize responsibly: Launch premium subscriptions and in-person events while keeping the core experience free and dealer-first
- Ensure compliance: Maintain legal and operational compliance as the network grows
- Represent the brand: Live and lead by CDG’s dealer-first ethos, setting the tone for trust and transparency
