The Role
We’re hiring a Director, Business Development – Advertising Sales & Partnerships to accelerate growth across our fast-expanding media network. This is a hybrid role that blends industry partnerships with new revenue generation:
- Industry Partnerships & Content Development (50%) — securing the most relevant, high-impact voices for Daily Dealer Live and other CDG platforms.
- Advertising Sales (50%) — building and closing a pipeline of new advertiser and sponsor relationships to fuel CDG’s growth.
This role is high-visibility, commission-driven, and central to shaping both the conversations and commercial success of CDG.
Responsibilities
Industry Partnerships & Content Development (50%)
- Source, pitch, and secure commitments from high-profile and strategically valuable guests for Daily Dealer Live.
- Build and maintain a deep pipeline of industry leaders, vendors, and executives.
- Partner closely with the lead show host to shape guest narratives that align with CDG’s platform strategy.
- Work hand-in-hand with the show coordinator on scheduling and logistics.
- Organize and scale monthly panels (1 at launch, growing to 2+ within 90 days), ensuring quality of discourse and impactful representation.
Advertising Sales (50%)
- Build and own a net-new business pipeline — sourcing, pitching, and closing fresh advertiser and sponsor relationships across CDG platforms (podcasts, live shows, newsletters, and digital media).
- Consistently hit and exceed revenue targets while building long-term partnerships.
- Support (but not replace) existing advertiser relationships — ensuring continuity while expanding the client base.
- Maintain CRM discipline, sales forecasting, and regular pipeline reporting.
- Collaborate with leadership on packaging, pricing, and creative monetization strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in B2B advertising/media sales or business development (automotive
- experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to close six-figure deals and exceed revenue goals.
- Strong network across automotive retail or adjacent industries.
- Exceptional relationship-builder who can connect with executives, operators, and
- decision-makers alike.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in a high-velocity, fast-changing environment.
