About Daily Dealer Live
Daily Dealer Live is auto retail’s only live talk show, reaching thousands of live and streaming listeners every week. Hosted by Sam D’Arc and Uli De’ Martino, the show features the biggest names and sharpest minds in the industry — from Jack Hollis (Toyota’s former COO) to Jeff Swickard (CEO, Swickard Auto Group) and Larry Morgan (Morgan Auto Group). The show currently airs 3x per week, with a vision to expand to 4–5x per week — and we’re looking for a producer who can help make that happen.
The Role
We’re looking for a full-time, do-it-all show producer — someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships, storytelling, and execution. You’ll be responsible for finding and booking top-tier guests, shaping show narratives, managing run-of-show, and ensuring every episode delivers both urgency and depth.
You are someone who is plugged into the social timeline — actively following and engaging with auto retail conversations — and knows how to spot and jump on the stories that matter. You can build compelling talk tracks and pitches that make high-profile guests say yes, and you can concept and execute thematic segments and panels that keep the show fresh, like “OEM Days,” “F&I Day, ” or timely, issue-based multi-guest discussions.
Success in this Role Looks Like
- A consistently full guest pipeline
- At least 3–4 themed segments or panels produced each month
- Rapid turnaround on high-priority bookings within hours, not days
- Guests who are excited to return — and refer others to join
What You’ll Do
- Guest booking & pipeline management: Identify, source, pitch, and secure high-value guests from across the auto retail ecosystem — often on tight timelines.
- Show planning & structure: Develop compelling episode outlines, segment flow, and narrative arcs that keep audiences engaged.
- Craft thematic programming: Plan recurring themed segments and special panels around topics like OEM strategies, F&I trends, used car markets, vendor spotlights, and more.
- Storytelling: Weave timely industry news, data, and human-interest stories into compelling live conversations.
- Relationship building: Cultivate strong connections with guests, making them feel valued and eager to come back.
- Industry awareness: Monitor the social and news timeline daily to spot stories, angles, and guests before anyone else.
- Collaboration: Work with our technical producer to ensure smooth live execution and post-show content capture.
- Urgent execution: Secure guests and adjust programming rapidly when breaking news or market events hit.
What You Bring
- Deep auto retail knowledge — ideally with direct dealership, vendor, or industry media experience.
- Strong network — you know (or can quickly connect with) key players across OEMs, dealer groups, vendors, and industry orgs.
- Social-native awareness — you’re an active participant in online industry conversations and understand how to tap into them.
- Storytelling skill — ability to shape a topic into an engaging, high-impact conversation.
- Programming creativity — you can design multi-guest panels and thematic segments that keep content relevant and dynamic.
- High urgency — comfortable pivoting on short notice and making things happen in hours, not days.
- Organizational rigor — can manage a booking pipeline, show calendar, and guest communications without letting things slip.
- Ownership mindset — you take full responsibility for the guest experience from first outreach to post-show follow-up.
- Bonus: Technical familiarity with live-streaming workflows (we have a tech producer, but it helps if you speak the language).
Ideal Backgrounds Could Include
- Former dealership marketing director or BDC manager with strong industry relationships.
- Former dealership employee with a knack for media and industry commentary.
- Vendor-side relationship manager or marketing lead who’s tuned into industry conversations.
Career Growth
As the show expands, you’ll have the opportunity to shape new formats, develop original programming, and grow into a senior content leadership role within one of auto retail’s fastest-growing media brands.
