POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Sub-Prime F&I Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless vehicle purchasing experience for our guests. You will be responsible for managing the Sub-Prime F&I Sales process, maximizing revenue opportunities, and delivering exceptional service that aligns with our core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Securing Financing for Sub-Prime Customers:
- Credit Analysis: Thoroughly analyze credit reports to understand customers' financial situations, identify negative credit history, and determine loan eligibility based on subprime lender guidelines.
- Lender Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a variety of sub-prime lenders. Understand their specific programs, underwriting requirements, and risk tolerances.
- Deal Structuring: Structure deals creatively to maximize approval chances while ensuring profitability for the dealership and fair terms for the customer. This often involves negotiating loan terms, down payments, and trade-in values.
- Presenting Options: Clearly and effectively present financing options to customers, explaining interest rates, loan terms, and payment plans in a way they understand.
- Submitting Applications: Accurately prepare and submit loan applications to the appropriate subprime lenders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Negotiating Approvals: Work diligently with lenders to secure loan approvals, addressing any stipulations or requirements they may have.
- Problem Solving: Overcome obstacles and find solutions for challenging credit situations to get deals approved.
- Selling F&I Products:
- Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of finance and insurance products such as vehicle service contracts, GAP insurance, credit life and disability insurance, and other aftermarket offerings relevant to sub-prime customers.
- Needs Assessment: Identify customers' needs and concerns to recommend relevant F&I products that provide value and protection.
- Presenting Value: Clearly and persuasively present the benefits of F&I products, addressing potential objections and ensuring customers understand the coverage and protection offered.
- Closing Sales: Effectively close sales of F&I products while maintaining ethical and compliant sales practices.
- Achieving Targets: Meet or exceed established sales targets for F&I product penetration and profitability.
- Compliance and Administration:
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local regulations related to lending, finance, and insurance sales, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Truth in Lending Act.
- Deal Documentation: Ensure all financing and F&I paperwork is completed accurately, legally sound, and in compliance with dealership and lender policies.
- Funding Process: Work with the dealership's administrative team to ensure timely and accurate funding of deals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of all finance and insurance transactions.
- Auditing: Audit the subprime lead sources to review with GM and ensure efficiency and adequate ROI
- Leadership Team Support:
- Peer Coaching: Provide precise feedback on the specific inventory requirements for the subprime department.
- Provide Cradle to Grave Support: Ensure a thorough turnover for all subprime customers during deal closures and vehicle exchanges.
- Sales Team Support:
- Saving Missed Opportunities: Actively engage with dedicated subprime lead sources to drive customer traffic and ensure all correspondence is meticulously documented in CRM VinSolutions.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to the sales team on working with sub-prime customers and understanding the special finance process.
- Deal Desking: Assist the sales team in structuring initial deals for sub-prime customers to increase the likelihood of F&I approval.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. Greet, interview, and facilitate the transition of all customers by collaborating with the sales and sales management teams for vehicle deliveries.

- Previous experience in sub-prime automotive finance management.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong understanding of finance products, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with guests and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented and process-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and technology platforms.
