Genesis of Highland Park is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead the sales team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art luxury dealership. This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow a dealership from the ground up, with the full support of the Gregory Auto Group — a name synonymous with integrity and customer service in the North Shore community.
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in the luxury automotive space and understands what it takes to deliver an exceptional experience at every touchpoint. This is not a desk job — we’re seeking someone who isn’t afraid to jump into the middle of a deal, mentor the team, and ensure that every customer interaction matches the premium Genesis standard.
You will oversee the A-to-Z sales process at our dealership: from internet lead engagement to desking deals, final delivery, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the sales department, including new, pre-owned, and finance.
- Actively engage in the sales process alongside your team — stepping into deals, assisting with negotiations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on process execution and customer experience.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure consistent follow-up and engagement through CRM (VinSolutions experience preferred).
- Collaborate with marketing and service teams to ensure alignment in dealership promotions and service-to-sales efforts.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the luxury market, Genesis product line, and competitive landscape.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the sales department.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven success as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or similar leadership role in a luxury automotive environment (Genesis, INFINITI, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, etc.).
- Strong desking skills and a willingness to personally assist on every deal when needed.
- Hands-on leadership style — visible on the floor, working closely with your team.
- Deep understanding of the luxury customer and their expectations.
- Highly organized, process-driven, and committed to follow-through.
- Ability to drive performance while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
