Thousands of consumers interact with Toma AI assistants daily to schedule service appointments, ask questions, get status updates, and more. We are a venture-backed small team (<10 employees) that is growing rapidly, with dealers all across America knocking on our door to get set up.
About the Role
We are looking for a jack-of-all-trades Founding Operations and Support Generalist to help us meet demand, wow our customers, and grow even faster.
You will operate as a generalist plugged into the product life cycle. That means your role will span implementing new AI agents via prompt engineering, supporting customers throughout the lifecycle, and working with everyone from the team to improve processes, create features, and help Toma grow.
Responsibilities
- Own the implementation process for new dealers end-to-end, from onboarding to AI phone line launch to support
- Work closely with dealers to understand their unique needs and tailor solutions to their requirements
- Provide lightweight support to dealers as their requirements adapt
- Work with the product and engineering teams to address any technical challenges and improve processes
Requirements
- A track record of excellence throughout your career
- An inherent ability to think outside the box constantly
- Strong problem ownership and drive
- Passion and guts for talking to (and getting roasted by) customers
- Experience with SaaS products and general tech-savviness
- Organized and able to manage multiple customers simultaneously
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with the automotive industry
- Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or another AI chat tool in your daily life (writing emails, looking up recipes, etc.)
- An infectious passion for hobbies you can't wait to share with the team
Location
San Francisco is preferred but remote is okay. If remote, we will fly you to our office quarterly. Our office is located in the Dogpatch neighborhood.

Compensation: $60,000 to $100,000 in salary + stock compensation
