Apple Autos is seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Service Director Manager to lead our service department. The Automotive Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive systems, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and profitably.
- Develop and implement service department strategies to meet or exceed service sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
- Lead, train, and mentor the service team, including advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, including parts, labor, and other operational costs.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and other external partners.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance productivity and safety.
- Implement marketing strategies to drive service business growth.
- Prepare and analyze service department reports, including profitability and performance metrics.
- Ensure efficient scheduling of work shifts and proper staffing levels to meet service demand.
- Manage the workflow and ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
- Maintain accurate service records and manage documentation processes.
- Set pricing for service and repairs and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet financial goals.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed jobs.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and promote a safe work environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Director or Service Manager in a high-volume dealership or automotive repair facility.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on team building and employee development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive service operations, including repair processes, customer service, and financial management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a face-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar).
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to resolving issues efficiently.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
