About Car Dealership Guy
Car Dealership Guy (CDG) is the leading media company serving the automotive retail industry. We help dealers and the companies that serve them stay ahead through trusted news, podcasts, newsletters, social media, market intelligence, research, events, and community.
Our platform reaches millions of automotive professionals each month and has become one of the industry's most influential voices.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Guest Booking Coordinator to own the guest pipeline across CDG's shows and help shape who — and what — our audience hears from. Your job is simple: know who matters, get them booked, and keep us ahead of the news cycle.
You'll identify the executives, operators, founders, and industry voices our audience should hear from, build relationships with them, and turn those relationships into great conversations across CDG's media properties.
We're looking for someone with strong editorial instincts, relentless follow-through, and the ability to get busy, influential people to respond.
When news breaks, you should already know who we should call.
What You'll Own
Guest Pipeline & Booking
- Own the guest pipeline across CDG's shows from sourcing through confirmed booking
- Keep our shows consistently booked ahead while leaving room to move quickly on timely opportunities
- Identify and vet executives, operators, founders, and other voices worth putting in front of our audience
- Run thoughtful, persistent outreach that gets responses
- Build relationships with guests and their teams that extend beyond a single appearance
- Maintain a clean, organized pipeline tracking outreach, responses, bookings, relationships, and follow-ups
Programming & Industry Intelligence
Follow automotive and business news closely and develop a strong point of view on who matters and why
- Spot emerging stories, trends, and personalities before they become obvious
- Identify the people closest to important stories and move quickly to get them booked
- Proactively bring guest, topic, and programming ideas to the content team
- Help identify timely opportunities for new interviews, segments, and conversations
- Develop a deep network across automotive retail and the broader industry
Guest & Show Preparation
Research upcoming guests and identify the most compelling angles, stories, and areas to explore
- Help the content team understand why a guest matters and what makes the conversation timely
- Maintain relationships with past guests and identify opportunities to bring the right people back
- Ensure the team has the context it needs heading into each conversation
Coordination
Work closely with the Executive Operations Manager and CDG content team
- Match the right guests to the right shows, themes, and moments
- Own communication with guests through confirmation and ensure clean handoffs into production
- Keep the team aligned on upcoming guests, priorities, and pipeline status
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong judgment, strong relationship-building instincts, and relentless follow-through.
You should have:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in media or podcast booking, production, PR, journalism, executive recruiting, talent, business media, or another relationship-driven role
- A demonstrated ability to reach and build relationships with senior executives, founders, operators, or other influential people
- Strong instincts for what makes someone — or something — interesting right now
- Excellent written communication and outreach skills
- The persistence to follow up without needing to be reminded
- Strong research and editorial instincts
- Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills
- Comfort using CRM, workflow, and AI tools to work faster and smarter
- High ownership, urgency, and accountability
- The ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, remote environment
Bonus Points
Existing relationships across business, media, or automotive
- Experience booking guests for podcasts, television, conferences, or other media
- Familiarity with automotive retail
- Experience with HubSpot, Airtable, or similar CRM/workflow tools

Why Join CDG?
You'll get a front-row seat to the automotive industry and direct access to founders, CEOs, dealer principals, operators, and some of the most influential people in the business.
You'll also have real ownership. We're not looking for someone to wait for a list of names and send emails. We want someone who develops their own point of view, builds relationships, and helps shape who and what appears across CDG's shows.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to become a key part of the programming engine behind one of the fastest-growing media companies in automotive — with a clear path to grow into a larger production or programming role as CDG scales.
