The Role
We’re hiring a part-time Content Publishing Specialist to own CDG’s social publishing lane.
This role is responsible for packaging, adapting, formatting, lightly copywriting, and publishing existing content across CDG’s digital platforms. You will not create original content or select stories. Instead, you will transform editorial materials into platform-native posts and ensure everything ships cleanly, consistently, and on time.
This is an execution-heavy role focused on precision, speed, and reliability.
Responsibilities
Social Distribution, Copy Adaptation & Publishing
- Repackage provided content into platform-native posts across X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Write concise captions and post copy based strictly on materials provided by the editorial team
- Lightly refine headlines and hooks for platform fit while staying within voice guidelines
- Format posts for each platform with strong attention to structure and presentation
- Schedule and publish posts in alignment with the editorial calendar
- Manage tagging, linking, and platform-specific formatting
- Execute real-time publishing for breaking content (execution only, not story selection)
- Perform final QA before publishing to ensure accuracy and brand consistency
- Own the distribution lane so nothing slips
- Editorial direction and story selection remain with leadership. This role owns execution and light adaptation.
Workflow & Systems
- Follow established publishing SOPs
- Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to assist with formatting and repackaging
- Maintain clean workflows and flag friction points
- Escalate edge cases rather than improvising
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in content operations, digital publishing, or social media management
- Experience adapting long-form content into tight, platform-native posts
- Strong instincts for hooks, captions, and concise framing
- High attention to detail
- Fast execution without sacrificing accuracy
- Comfortable working within defined systems and guardrails
- Reliable and organized with the ability to consistently ship content on schedule
