The Controller oversees all financial operations of an automotive dealership, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and fiscal integrity. Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership: Manage and develop the accounting team, promoting accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across departments.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and cost control to ensure the dealership’s profitability and financial health.
- Accounting Operations: Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end closings.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with tax laws, internal policies, and manufacturer reporting requirements. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide timely and accurate financial statements and reports to leadership, offering insights for strategic decision-making.
- Operations: Support dealership operations through financial analysis, vendor oversight, and process improvement initiatives.
- Staffing: Recruit, train, and manage accounting personnel, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.
