History In The Making

Leo Bedard opened his first automotive business in 1954. It was nothing fancy and operations took place in the garage of his home. With a strong work ethic and dedication to customer service business quickly picked up and the business had to be moved to someplace it could grow. Leo’s first dealership was a Saab franchise in 1957 followed shortly by Volvo in 1960, the same year the business moved to it’s current location in Cheshire, MA. The Honda and Dodge franchises were added in 1972 and 1980. Chevrolet, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM were all added in the early 2000’s. Leo’s sons, Ron and Brian joined the business in the 1970’s and currently, Leo’s grandsons Bill, Bret and Steven as well his great grandsons Andrew and Chad are all also active in the dealership today. A true family business! In fact, Bedard’s make up nearly 10% of the entire staff! In addition to the Bedard’s active in the dealership, Bedard Bros. Auto Sales, Inc. employs nearly 100 people throughout Massachusetts, Vermont and New York and is known for excellence, customer service and community involvement.
