Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the parts department operations in an automotive dealership or repair facility.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and organizing parts.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts for various makes and models of vehicles.
- Collaborate with service technicians to identify and source the correct parts needed for repairs.
- Utilize an order management system (such as AS400) to track and process parts orders.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Implement effective pricing strategies for parts to maximize profitability.
- Train and supervise parts department staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within an automotive dealership. Ford experience recommended but not required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and equipment repair processes.
- Familiarity with OEM parts and their applications.
- Proficiency in using an order management system (e.g., AS400) for parts ordering and tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with service technicians, vendors, and other team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Note: Experience managing an automotive parts department and shipping/receiving operations are required for this position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
