Townsend Nissan is seeking a dedicated and energetic Service Manager to lead our service department. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the service department, including technicians, service advisors, service call center, lot attendants, detailers, and shuttle drivers.
- Manage employee schedules and pay plans.
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Collaborate with the Parts Manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
- Work with the shop foreman to ensure customer vehicles are serviced properly and efficiently.
- Attend and conduct service department and manager meetings.
- Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
- Maintain specified service customer pay gross profit growth.
- Ensure technician proficiency as per company standards.
- Partner with technical schools to recruit technicians.
- Partner with OEMs and other third-party vendors.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Motivate, train, develop, and reward employees.
- Communicate with customers about maintenance and service work needed.
- Maintain the company's value, quality, and integrity.
- Provide and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customers.
- Other duties as determined by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to manage a team, motivate, and develop.
- Experience with CDK or other automotive software is required.
- Strong technical aptitude is required.
- Must have 3+ years of experience as an automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager.
- Previous automotive Service Management experience is required.
- Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).
