- Greet customers promptly and courteously as they arrive at the service department.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and offer logical diagnostic services or repair recommendations.
- Provide accurate estimates for all recommended repairs and services, explaining the details clearly to customers.
- Maintain open communication with technicians and the shop foreman to monitor job status and ensure timely updates to customers.
- Handle minor customer complaints with professionalism and tact, ensuring that any misunderstandings are resolved effectively.
- Answer incoming service calls in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Write detailed work orders, ensuring all customer concerns and necessary repairs are documented accurately.
- Collect payments for completed services and process transactions quickly and accurately.
- Strive to ensure customer satisfaction at every step of the service process.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and problem-solving.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of automotive repairs and diagnostic services (Ford experience is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency with computer systems for work orders, payment processing, and customer communication.
