SUMMARY
Ron Marhofer Auto Family is looking for a key team member with a proven history in running a profitable used vehicle department with solid experience driving front end vehicle profits from auction, private sellers, and online sources.
This position will report to the Variable Operations Director. The Automotive Dealership Vehicle Acquisitions Manager acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting. This role requires the ability to identify sales opportunities for RMAF and communicate those to key stakeholders. Automotive Dealership Vehicle Acquisitions Manager must possess an aptitude for and demonstrate skill in planning and development, data utilization, budget management, and developing relationships with stakeholders. Needs to possess strong organizational and communication skills, and a results-oriented bias for action to be able to deliver on required deadlines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of dealership acquisition experience. Includes:
- Experience with wholesale auction
- Managing and leveraging relationships with both car dealers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and auction.
- Negotiating deals with intention on increasing gross return.
- Extremely self-motivated
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identifying and sourcing inventory for multiple dealership locations.
- building and maintaining relationships with auctions, manufacturers, and other dealership groups.
- Creating the daily strategy, to acquire the most profitable inventory available at quantity, 4,000 to 7,000 units annually.
- provide insight on pricing, marketing, and stocking to the Var. Opps. director
- Vehicle Sourcing and Purchasing:
- Identify and source vehicles from various channels, including auctions, private sellers, and online platforms.
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with sellers to ensure optimal profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and coordinate necessary repairs or modifications, if required, to meet dealership standards.
- Market Analysis and Pricing:
- Stay up to date with current market trends, industry news, and competitor activities in the Northeast Ohio market.
- Analyze market demand, pricing data, sales history, and customer preferences to determine the most competitive pricing and fast turn strategies for our inventory.
- Review pricing to ensure profitability while remaining competitive within the market.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and review all necessary paperwork, contracts, and documentation related to vehicle purchases, sales, and trade-ins.
- Coordinate with the finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely payment processing.
- Generate reports on sales, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators to assess dealership performance and identify areas for improvement.
MARGINAL DUTIES
- Work with Variable Operations Director to put the organization in a position to grow used retail sales and hit large future targets of 10,000, and 12,000 units annually.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must obtain and maintain any certificates, licenses, and registrations as required by Dealership.
- Must maintain a valid Driver's License that meets dealership insurability requirements to regularly travel between stores.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit at desk for extended periods without issue. At least 4 hours.
- Some light lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales, purchasing, or dealership management. Extensive knowledge of vehicle brands, models, features, and market values.
- Proven track record of successful sales and purchasing in the automotive industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
- Proficiency in using automotive industry tools and software for inventory management and pricing analysis.
