Hey CDG community —
We're new to the Car Dealership Guy job board and genuinely excited to be here. If you're the kind of person who reads CDG every morning because you actually love this business, you're exactly who we're trying to reach.
Here's our situation, straight up.
Our Finance Manager at Land Rover Brooklyn is relocating. That opens a real seat. We may fill it internally from our Mercedes-Benz store — which would then open a Sales Manager seat or a different Finance Manager opportunity. So we're recruiting for both, and we'll build the org chart around the best person who walks through the door.
If you're an experienced automotive manager who wants to get rocking and rolling with a team that's going somewhere, keep reading.
WHO WE ARE
Kollective Automotive Group — nine luxury and premium rooftops across New York and New Jersey.
Land Rover Brooklyn is the #1 volume Land Rover dealership in the Northeast and a consistent contender for #1 in the country. Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn sits a few minutes down the road and is one of the most profitable dealerships in the Northeast. Two strong stores, one management bench, and real vertical movement across nine locations.
We pride ourselves on putting people in the right position to succeed. That's not a slogan — it's why this posting exists in the first place.
OPPORTUNITY 1: SALES MANAGER
This is a builder's seat. Develop people, structure deals, and win business other stores walk away from.
What you'll own:
Sales consultant development. This is your #1 priority. Coach, train, and hold a team accountable to daily activity, CRM discipline, and closing standards. Your success is measured by their growth.
Desking and deal structure. You'll live on the desk — less about starting the pencil, more about reworking it. We need a manager who finds the path to the deal regardless of what's in front of it.
Daily showroom leadership. Lead from the floor in a high-pressure, high-organization environment. Drive urgency without chaos.
The 8:45 AM meeting. Every day. You help set the tone.
Tech stack discipline. DriveCentric, CDK, ACV MAX, vAuto. Own the process end to end.
What we're looking for:
- Significant, proven sales management experience in retail automotive. Hard requirement — we're hiring an experienced operator, not training one.
- A perpetually optimistic operator who genuinely enjoys the deal: the hunt, the structure, the close.
- Demonstrated discipline and work ethic. Non-negotiable. We're not a hangout, we're a results environment.
- Proven track record desking in a high-volume store. Luxury/premium a strong plus.
- The ability to develop people, not just close deals yourself.
- Bilingual strongly valued. Russian fluency is a meaningful advantage given our customer base.
- Working command of DriveCentric, CDK, ACV MAX, and vAuto is a strong plus.
OPPORTUNITY 2: FINANCE MANAGER
You identify the finance, leasing, and after-sale product options that actually fit the customer — and you get the paperwork right the first time, every time.
What you'll own:
- Presenting a real menu of financing and leasing options, and finding alternative sources when the primary lender says no.
- Educating sales consultants and sales managers on financing and leasing structure. You're a teacher, not a gatekeeper.
- Clean, fast funding on every deal.
- Hitting volume and margin objectives without cutting corners.
- Driving chargebacks down and keeping them down.
Our standards, in plain English:
Paperwork must be exceptional. Zero tolerance on compliance, fraud verification, contracts, we-owes, NYS and NYC forms, rebate and incentive forms, approvals — all of it.
$1,500 minimum PRODUCT PVR, done clean. Not by packing deals. Not by moving money from the front to the back. Not by collecting first payment. We have great products, great lender support, and we want it all by the book. We understand reserve is driven by the desk, the programs, and the lenders so our focus is on the amount of product you sell.
Team-first, fair deal assignment, ego checked at the door.
SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS (READ THIS CAREFULLY)
We're transparent about the commitment because it filters for the right people.
- These are not 40–44 hour roles. Our managers average 50+ hours per week.
- Daily 8:45 AM sales meeting. Managers are present.
- You get one scheduled weekday off.
- Closed every Sunday.
- Closed major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
You'll be paid well, treated with respect, given the tools to succeed, and you'll work alongside talented, ethical people.
BENEFITS
- Medical, dental, and vision
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off
- Paid training
- Employee vehicle purchase program
- Discounts on products and services
- Real advancement across nine rooftops
COMPENSATION
All of our management positions start at a minimum of $200,000 per year.
Both roles are base salary plus performance-based commission and bonus. Sales Managers earn a percentage of gross profit — new car, used car, wholesale, and dealership holdback. Finance Managers are paid on production. Specific plan structure and percentages are provided at offer, and there is real upside for operators who build a strong team and run a disciplined desk.
HOW TO APPLY
Go to https://www.landrover-brooklyn.com/careers/ and fill out the General Job Inquiry form.
Two things when you do:
- Attach your resume.
- In the notes field, write "Car Dealership Guy" and which role you're interested in — Sales Manager, Finance Manager, or both.
That's it. We hire at the pace of the candidate. We'd bring the right person on tomorrow, and we'll wait for the right fit over the wrong one.
