The Digital Merchandising Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, presentation, compliance, and performance of vehicle inventory across our digital ecosystem. Working alongside the Website Management Lead and Website Management Specialist, this position oversees the flow of vehicle data to company websites and third-party marketplaces while supporting pricing compliance, merchandising best practices, and lead management processes.
This role combines digital merchandising, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance to deliver a best-in-class online shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Data Management
- Manage and monitor the flow of vehicle inventory data across company websites and digital platforms.
- Ensure vehicle pricing, descriptions, photos, incentives, and merchandising details are displayed accurately and optimally.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory feed issues, discrepancies, and syndication errors.
- Coordinate the distribution of vehicle inventory to third-party marketplaces, including CarGurus, AutoTrader, and other listing partners.
Digital Merchandising
- Maintain high merchandising standards to improve online presentation, customer engagement, and lead generation.
- Provide guidance and support to dealership teams regarding vehicle descriptions, photography, pricing displays, and merchandising best practices.
- Monitor website inventory quality and identify opportunities to enhance the online shopping experience.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Assist in maintaining compliance with pricing regulations, FTC guidelines, and company policies across all digital channels.
- Review website and third-party listings to ensure pricing disclosures and promotional messaging meet legal and manufacturer requirements.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and dealership personnel to address compliance concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Lead Management & Digital Operations
- Support the ongoing management and quality assurance of lead routing processes to ensure customer inquiries reach the appropriate dealership teams.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to lead delivery, tracking, and attribution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to improve digital processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in digital merchandising, website management, e-commerce operations, automotive retail, or a similar field.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large amounts of data accurately.
- Familiarity with vehicle inventory systems (vAuto, Homenet, etc.), third-party marketplace platforms (AutoTrader, CarGurus, Cars.com, etc.), and automotive digital retailing is a plus.
- Knowledge of pricing compliance, advertising regulations, and FTC guidelines is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
