We are searching for an experienced Service Manager to lead all aspects of the Service Department with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, operational performance, team development, and strict compliance with manufacturer policies, dealership standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is accountable for driving results ethically and responsibly while ensuring all service and warranty operations are executed accurately and with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop service advisors and technicians while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and teamwork
- Ensure all service and warranty operations comply with manufacturer policies, internal procedures, and documentation standards
- Drive exceptional customer experiences and continuously improve CSI through clear communication and effective follow-up
- Oversee daily service department operations, workflow, scheduling, and productivity while maintaining quality and compliance
- Ensure multi-point inspections are completed on every vehicle with accurate documentation and ethical presentation of recommendations
- Manage key performance indicators including hours per repair order, technician efficiency, gross profit, and CSI through compliant processes
- Audit repair orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards
- Lead ongoing training focused on compliance, warranty requirements, customer service best practices, and MPI processes
- Manage departmental financial performance and productivity in partnership with dealership leadership
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager
- Strong knowledge of service and warranty operations within a franchised dealership environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance metrics, and improve CSI
- High ethical standards with a strong commitment to compliance and accurate documentation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Experience managing departmental profitability while maintaining compliance standards
