We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the fixed operations department at a well-established dealership in Illinois. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge, a focus on customer satisfaction, and experience managing a high-performing service team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Lead and develop a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff through coaching, training, and performance management
- Monitor shop productivity, repair order flow, and technician efficiency
- Manage scheduling and workflow using Xtime for service appointments and Dealertrack for DMS operations
- Ensure warranty, repair, and customer pay documentation meets OEM and compliance standards
- Maintain high CSI scores through consistent communication and process improvement
- Partner with the parts and sales departments to optimize overall dealership performance
- Track and report departmental performance, identifying areas for growth and efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive service management experience (Kia or import brand experience preferred)
- Proficiency with Dealertrack and Xtime is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to improve CSI, retention, and profitability
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
