Position: Volvo New & Pre-Owned Sales Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION & OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate must have automotive retail Sales Management experience. We are looking for someone motivated, with a positive attitude who possesses excellent customer service skills to join our progressive organization that retails some of the best automobile brands in the world! We are looking for someone who is willing to dig deep with their sales team to lead & motivate them to success. Only qualified candidates with 2+ years experience should apply. Must be able to work on Saturdays. Reynolds & Reynolds DMS/CRM experience is a plus!
DAY-TO-DAY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Performance
- Set individual and team sales goals to achieve monthly/annual objectives set by the General Manager & Senior Leadership.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue, market share, and effective merchandising.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and CRM usage, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze competitive activity and pricing to adjust strategies as needed.
- Ensure sales activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards, as well as OEM/manufacturer policies and incentive guidelines.
- Desk New & Pre-Owned proposals for customer prospects
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Encourage professional development through industry seminars, conferences, and workshops.
- Oversee desking, negotiation, and closing processes to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Customer Experience & Retention
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a premium ownership experience.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints, ensuring positive resolutions.
- Oversee accurate customer data entry and follow-ups through the CRM system.
Sales Operations, Inventory & Incentives
- Manage inventory levels, mix, and merchandising to align with customer demand and dealership goals.
- Submit new and pre-owned incentive claims the same day the vehicle is RDR’d, and ensure compliance with OEM/manufacturer programs.Manage the service loaner car fleet under OEM guidelines.
- Ensure all sold vehicles are correctly reported to the manufacturer under eligible sales programs.
- Oversee preparation of necessary paperwork for sales, financing, and warranties.Partner with the finance department to ensure smooth transaction and financing
- Complete additional sales-related tasks as assigned by senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- MUST have at least 2+ years in a customer facing automotive retail management role
- Ability to learn and utilize basic computer and web-based applications
- Reynolds & Reynolds DMS experience preferred
- Must work Saturdays, as well as Monday & Thursday evenings
- Must be driven, motivated & have a positive attitude with a willingness to assist in internal training
- Attention to detail/organization skills
- Superior listening skills, and a passion for excellence
- Must be an extremely well organized individual who can easily multitask
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

- Base Salary, +plus,commission on departmental sales performance
