Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild transmissions for GM vehicles efficiently and accurately.
- Perform transmission maintenance and service, including fluid changes and filter replacements.
- Utilize GM-specific diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections and test drives to ensure proper function after repairs.
- Work closely with service advisors and other technicians to ensure quality repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest GM transmission technologies and repair procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a transmission technician, specifically with GM vehicles.
- ASE Certification (preferred but not required).
- GM-specific training or certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GM transmission systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and scan equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
